Today presents us with another day of 10-pick contests for MLB. I personally like these days better because it provides a little more wiggle room with the props, and it’s easier to overcome a wrong pick or two.
I am far from perfect when picking these props, so don’t trust me with your maximum bets, but I’ll do my best to provide some stats and insight on some prop picks for today.
Prop Pick: Trevor Bauer
Over/Under 6.5 Strikeouts – OVER (90 Points)
I have a feeling this might be the chalkiest prop of the day. Trevor Bauer is a dominant pitcher and can easily rack up some K’s.
If you’re in a small contest, like a head-to-head, or want to be a bit different, then avoiding this prop might be in your best interest. Or, if you want to be completely contrarian, you could even pick the under.
You might be aware there is a bit of bad blood between the Dodgers and Astros, because of a trash can and the 2017 World Series. I won’t get into that any further though, but Bauer, who wasn’t even on the Dodgers at the time, is very likely to get fully involved in this rivalry.
In 10 outings this season, Bauer has had seven or more strikeouts in nine of them! With the prop at 6.5, the O/U almost seems too low.
The main reason this is so low is because of the Astros. They currently have the highest team batting average, and the lowest team strikeout rate at 6.9 strikeouts per game.
I like the over because of Trevor Bauer’s recent success, but I would not be surprised if he only ends up with five or six strikeouts today.
Prop Pick: Travis Shaw

Over/Under 0.5 RBIs – UNDER (90 Points)
Travis Shaw has been struggling the month of May. In 18 starts for the Brewers this month, Shaw is batting around .183 with only six RBI’s, and three of those RBI’s came in the first two games of May.
One saving grace is Shaw is facing Chris Paddack, a right handed pitcher, today. Shaw bats over .70 points higher against right handed pitchers, but still only .216 for the season.
Any day he could turn it around, or get just one RBI, but based off his stats this month, the odds are definitely against him.
Risky Prop Pick: Xander Bogaerts

Over/Under 2.5 Total Bases – OVER (130 Points)
If you noticed the title for this prop, you’ll see I named it “risky,” and risky it is. At 130 points, it is one of the highest prop picks for the day.
Bogaerts is having a career-best year right now, and, entering Tuesday, was leading the league in hits. He is also tied for third-highest in WAR, basically meaning he’s having an MVP caliber year.
2.5 total bases is a lot to ask for in any given day, but Bogaerts has the ability to do it any given day. If you’re feeling risky like me, take the over.
