Can I get a big “oof!” My picks for last Friday were TERRIBLE.

We’re not going to talk about it any further.

In the words of Bill Belichick, “we’re on to Cincinnati.” In this case, we’re just moving on to this week.

Prop Pick: Blake Snell
Over/Under 5.5 Total Strikeouts – OVER (90 Points)

With the exception of one game, Blake Snell has been having a very solid season. He is not a dominant strikeout guy right now, but he has been rather consistent.

In eight outings this season, he had six or more strikeouts in six of them. Snell is also significantly better at home this year as well, which is where he is facing the Colorado Rockies today.

Snell has faced Colorado three times in his career, with the most recent being just six days ago on May 12th.

In all three of those games, Snell had seven or more strikeouts. Setting this up for another good chance to hit the over.

Prop Pick: Marcus Semien
Over/Under 1.5 Total (Hits + RBIs) – UNDER (80 Points)

Marcus Semien just ended a 12 game hitting streak. During that time his batting average rose from .216 to .271.

He also only has 10 games without a hit this year, out of 39 games played. Based off those numbers, you’d think his batting average would be even higher, but he doesn’t typically accomplish more than one hit a game.

On Tuesday, Semien and the Blue Jays face Eduardo Rodriguez and the Red Sox. Semien and Rodriguez have faced each other 19 times in their careers, and Rodriguez definitely has the advantage.

In those 19 battles, Semien has struckout seven times while only garnering three hits.

Based off the track record against his opponent, I don’t foresee Semien hitting the over.

Prop Pick: Aaron Judge
Over/Under 0.5 Hits – OVER (85 Points)

Aaron Judge just had his six game hit streak snapped on Monday night. During those six games he had at least two hits in five of them!

I don’t have much else to say except Judge seems to be heating up right now, and after a down game on Monday, I expect he’ll try to get back into his rhythm against Texas.
