So far on the season, I’ve correctly predicted two out of three picks in each article, which isn’t a bad batting average. I’m hoping one of these soon will be a perfect three for three!

As usual, below you will find three picks from Friday’s slate of games that I like the best, along with some stats and reasons why.

Prop Pick: Freddie Freeman
O/U 2.5 Total bases – UNDER (70 points)

I normally don’t like writing about a favorite prop when the potential points are relatively low. However, there are some tough props today and this one is probably my favorite.

Freeman has had a slow start to the season only amassing two hits in 18 at-bats. One of his hits was a home run though, which would beat the over on this prop. As for the other 17 at-bats (over six games), he would achieve the under.

Things won’t be any easier Friday night when the Atlanta Braves face Zack Wheeler and the Phillies. In Wheeler’s lone start this season he faced the Braves and dominated them. He compiled 10 strikeouts while only allowing one hit through seven innings.

Unless Freeman hits a home run, I don’t see him getting the over today.

Prop Pick: Jose Ramirez
O/U 1.5 Total (Hits + Runs + RBIs) – OVER (85 points)

Jose Ramirez has started the season on a tear at the plate. He has a hit in all five of his games, and a total of seven hits in 20 at-bats.

The one caveat is all four of Ramirez’s RBIs and two out of three of his runs came in one game. Which for the sake of this prop, does not sound reassuring.

Where it gets better though is Cleveland is playing Detroit. I know Detroit took two of the three games in the season series opener last week, but now Cleveland is at home and I foresee a different outcome.

The Tigers are scheduled to start Julio Teheran on the mound, who actually had a good opening start against Cleveland.

Based on Teheran’s 10 year track record, I don’t believe he’ll put up a repeat performance against Cleveland. Even if he does pitch really well, I think the hot bat of Ramirez will prevail.

Prop Pick: Bo Bichette
O/U 1.5 Total (Hits + RBIs) – OVER (120 points)

I’m going to be honest, I don’t know a whole lot about Bichette other than he’s currently on a five game hitting streak as of writing, and he has a nice hair flow.

I also know that Toronto likes him in the lineup. He’s been their number three hitter since the start of the season and even batted in the DH slot once.

The other thing I like is that the Blue Jay’s opponent, the Angels, are starting Andrew Heaney on the mound in this one.

I’ll just say Heaney’s first start of the season did not go as planned. I’m not saying he’ll be bad all season, but I would not be surprised if he has another rocky start.

This prop is a bit of a gamble, but I like the opportunity for 120 points here.
