The return of the PGA Tour means that one of the best golfers in the world, Justin Thomas, travels back to one of his favorite courses. After taking home the #1 spot on the leaderboard at the “Tournament of Champions” a year ago, Thomas expects to return to glory while battling a field that features 14 of the Top 20 golfers on tour. A three-man playoff between Thomas, Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele (2019 Winner), after Schauffele was eliminated on playoff hole #1, Reed and Thomas remained tied and eventually went to a third hole, where Thomas took the win. Shooting 14 under across four rounds, is no small feat for Thomas, who also went -18 in a third place finish back in 2019.
Here are Justin’s previous finishes at the Plantation Course in Kapalua, HI dating back to his first appearance in 2016:
- 2020: -14, 1st Place
- 2019: -18, 3rd Place
- 2018: -4, T22nd Place
- 2017: -22, 1st Place
- 2016: -11, T21st Place
Anticipate Thomas, one of the world’s best, having a solid round to keep him in contention heading into Friday afternoon.
